CPULD has one of the only four IKEA certified laboratories in the world and the only one in the Americas. Our laboratories have been researching the characteristics of corrugated boards for more than 10 years. We have the ability to evaluate and compare material characteristics of corrugated fiberboard, pallet feet, and load bearers according to IKEA test methods.

A Look Inside the Lab...

CPULD labs have been researching the characteristics of corrugated boards for more than 10 years. We have the ability to evaluate and compare material characteristics of corrugated fiberboard, pallet feet, and load bearers according to IKEA test methods which are based on the specifications of IOS-P-0010.

The current pricing structure to conduct IKEA testing can be found below. These costs apply exclusively for IKEA suppliers who need to validate / certify their compliance with IKEA specifications.

In order to request testing, please submit a filled-out IKEA Testing Request Form to Dr. Eduardo Molina at molina@vt.edu.

 

 

 

Sample Submission Guidelines:

All samples to be tested for IKEA must be packaged to ensure each specimen will be flat and free from wrinkles and folds when delivered to our testing laboratory. Extreme care must be taken to avoid damage to the samples when shipping via public couriers. All specimens must be obtained flat - i.e. before the converting process to boxes, containers, or pallets.
