Thermal Analysis Testing

Thermal analysis is a form of analytical technique most commonly used in the branch of materials science where changes in the properties of materials are examined with respect to temperature. Common types include interferometry, thermomechanical and thermophysical analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, and thermogravimetry among others.

We have three thermal analyzers that are the key pieces of equipment used to measure the thermal properties of packaging polymers and ingredients. The three pieces of equipment are the Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), the Thermal Mechanical Analyzer (TMA) and the Thermal Gravimetric Analyzer (TGA). There is also a Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer that is accessible to our team for material evaluation.

Package materials testing, as well as package evaluation and testing, are important parts of the research and development process. Testing helps ensure that new primary packaging materials and package designs are created specifically to handle real-world situations.
