| The Center
for Unit Load Design is an Industry/University Partnership. Membership
in the center is open to all individuals, firms, and associations interested
in unit load based material handling efficiency. Industry members provide
support, encouragement, advice, and funding to attract and train the
caliber of employees, and to conduct the research studies needed by
industry. Industry members help fund the center's activities in exchange
for priority access to our technical assistance team, research
laboratories, member's only section of the Website, quarterly newsletters,
and copies of all non-proprietary research and publications.
Our team includes experts in:
- packaging
- palletization
- material handling, and
- unit load design optimization
Members also receive significantly reduced
rates on testing services (note that consultation
hours and testing discounts usually well exceed the initial
cost of membership),
center-sponsored seminars, and short courses.
A new membership
offering is the addition of SLICK:
Searchable Library
of Integrated Center Knowledge.
This member's only library is devoted to bringing
you Center and industry publications in a one-stop-shop
format not available to the general public. The library
includes research once considered proprietary and that
is not published or found elsewhere.
