CONTRACT TEST FACILITIES

One of the most requested benefits of our Industry Partners is enhanced access to the Center's Contract Test Facilities. The center conducts proprietary tests on packaging, pallets, and material handling equipment, which generates funding for center activities, keeps our staff up to date on the latest technologies, and assists our members with the design, performance evaluation, and new product development of their unit load material handling systems.

The Center for Unit Load Design develops systems-based technologies to optimize material handling efficiency. Facilities include

The William H. Sardo Jr. Pallet & Container Research Laboratory

and the

Unit Load Testing Laboratory,

which feature a comprehensive packaging testing laboratory and automated material handling equipment typically found in many automated warehouses.
